Its unique oily macromolecular structure prevents it from penetrating cell membranes, making it safe for users—no inhalation risk, no sublimation, and no mutagenic effects, as confirmed by the Ames test at gel staining concentrations.

With identical spectral properties to EB, YeaRed™ works seamlessly with standard UV gel documentation systems (excitation at 300 nm), meaning no need to change filters or equipment. It is compatible with both dsDNA, ssDNA, and RNA staining in agarose or polyacrylamide gels, using either precast or post-staining methods.
